אָצַר(b. h.; sec. r. of צור, cmp. אסר) to lock up, hoard, gather; cmp. גָּנַז. B. Bath.90b אוֹצְרֵי פירות those who store up fruit (for speculation). Ib. אין אוֹצְרִיןוכ׳; Tosef.Ab. Zar. IV (V), 1 (אצר a. עצר used promiscuously) you must not hoard up (for speculation) such things as are necessaries of life; (correct אין א׳ דברים שיש … כגון יינות שמנים וסלתות ופירות).
